There has also been a clinical study to determine the efficacy of the product. Here, we’ll explain how this study took place and what the results were, so you can see for yourself that Ultra 5 weight loss pills really do work!

This was a double-blind, randomised, three-armed, placebo-controlled, clinical investigation to evaluate the benefits and tolerability of two doses of XLS-Medical Ultra 5 in reducing body weight in overweight and moderately obese subjects¹.

XLS-Medical Ultra 5 is a weight loss and weight management product formulated with a proprietary blend of dehydrated okra powder and inulin (Okranol™) as its active ingredient combined with other excipients. In order to assess the product’s tolerability and efficacy in reducing body weight in overweight and moderately obese subjects, a golden standard clinical trial was conducted.

This was a double-blind, randomised, three-armed, placebo-controlled clinical trial. 108 overweight and moderately obese subjects were studied. The primary endpoint of the study was to evaluate the difference between mean change of body weight after taking two capsules of Ultra 5 after a meal (3 times a day) compared to a placebo. The treatment study period was 12 weeks.

Additionally, a lower dose treatment (1 capsule per meal, 3 times per day) was also evaluated. As well as the weight loss, secondary endpoints were also measured. These included blood cholesterol levels, waist and hip circumference as well as body fat reduction. The product’s safety and tolerability were validated throughout the study.

After 12 weeks of study, the high dose Ultra 5 group had seen significantly greater weight loss in comparison to the placebo group (5.03 ± 2.50 kg vs 0.98 ± 2.06 kg, respectively; p < 0.001) and low dose group (3.01 ± 2.19 kg; p = 0.001).

The high dose group experienced a decrease in body fat of 3.15 ± 2.41 kg compared with a decrease of 0.23 ± 2.74 kg for the placebo group (p < 0.001).

A high dose of Ultra 5 also decreased feelings of hunger in 66% of subjects. A beneficial effect of Ultra 5 on the lipid metabolism was also demonstrated in the subgroup of participants with baseline total cholesterol levels above 6.2 mmol/L.

There were no reported side effects when taking XLS-Medical Ultra 5.
